Herriot Hospice has announced a landmark moment in its development, by welcoming overnight patients to The Lambert in Thirsk, from 10th March 2026.

For the first time, the hospice will begin welcoming patients to stay overnight, making a significant step in the organisation’s commitment to providing expert, local hospice care for people across Hambleton and Richmondshire.

For local families, this is hugely significant. It means people approaching the end of life will be able to receive expert hospice care, comfort and dignity through the night, close to home and surrounded by compassionate professionals, while enabling families to spend precious time together when it matters most.
